About the Item

Fabulous rare and unique Art Deco item made by the "Wonder Girl Atomizer Company, New York, New York" Circa 1923; the title suggesting that this was possibly the only item they made. The perfume bottle depicts a sexy young woman with a bare breasted torso with reddish brown hair sitting atop a vertically multi faceted tapered blue glass base that would have been filled with fragrance; with the original "squeeze" beige atomizer attached and a silver plated waist band. The perfume would have been dispensed through the hole from her belly button; quite risque, although by some accounts quite appropriate for the 1920's. I presume everything "works" but I wouldn't suggest trying it out because it is in such nice and all original condition. The rubber atomizer is original to the piece, and over time has become slightly hardened. There is some wear and chips to her back (lower) where the atomizer attaches; and also to the end of her left arm and elbow----mainly cosmetic; nothing that compromises the integrity or structure of the piece (see images). This is a wonderful and unique item for those who collect fragrance bottles, or Art Deco; but can easily be enjoyed as a stand alone item to enjoy displayed in a showcase. Dimensions: 8 1/2" high x 4" wide x 3" deep Note: I am a second generation antiques dealer and have been in business, buying, selling, and collecting, for 50 years; I am also a member of several prestigious antique associations.
