About the Item

A beautiful antique decorative pink porcelain Sèvres Style urn with a hand-painted background of a lovers scene. In the back there is a scene of a bouquet of flowers. Mounted Bacchus/ Dionysus bronze mask handles on the sides. ‘A Daret’ signature on the side. The signature possibly relates to Madamoiselle Elisa Daret Darville, born in Paris, recorded as working at Rue Mazaraine, 41, in 1870. ‘Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres’ Mark on the lit stamped in blue. We have another vase to complement this one. Please check our listings.
