Victorian Classical coin silver vase. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1860. Conical bowl with everted curvilinear rim; tapering bracket side handles mounted with cast female heads and threaded with beaded swags. Cylindrical stem flowing into raised foot. Rinceaux and leaf-and-dart borders. Marked with maker’s stamp and no. 400. Weight: 14 troy ounces.
