About the Item

Eos Vase by Moldra Dimensions: D 24 x H 27 cm Materials: Stoneware Moldra is a ceramic studio devoted to sculptural vases and objects. Rooted in the ancestral hand-building technique known as “coiling,” Moldra reinterprets tradition and gives life to unique pieces with fluid, elegant, organic silhouettes that echo the subtle movement of nature. Every stage is treated with care, from shaping, drying and glazing to firing. The result is a collection of objects that not only decorate a space, but transform it. The shaping process is intuitive, grounded in presence. Each piece emerges gradually, coil upon coil, through sustained gestures, attentive touch and a dialogue with the clay. Although every object begins from an idea translated into a sketch, no piece is fully predetermined, each one develops organically, influenced by the condition of the clay, the movement of the hand and the energy of the moment. As the form rises, the work enters a silent phase: the long weeks of drying during which the pieces refine, shift and settle into themselves. Firing completes the transformation, an alchemical transformation at over 1200 degrees, where clay becomes ceramic: durable, permanent, entirely different from its origin. Moldra stands for encapsulated time, tactile sensitivity, and a slow rhythm, ceramics that speak of form, presence, and spirit.
