About the Item

A beautiful turquoise floor vase designed by Ewald Dahlskog at Bo Fajans in Gefle in the 1930s. The vase is 37 cm tall and in excellent condition. Ewald Dahlskog (1894–1950) was one of Sweden’s most innovative designers and artists. During the 1930s, he revolutionized ceramics with his bold sense of form, color, and decoration. As artistic director at Bo Fajans, he created expressive vases, bowls, and ornamental pieces that blended traditional craftsmanship with modernist elegance. Dahlskog’s ceramic works are distinguished by their clean lines, refined glazes, and a unique artistic precision that continues to inspire today. His designs stand as a brilliant symbol of Swedish functionalism and timeless beauty. Ewald Dahlskog turned ceramics into art — and art into something we want to live with.
