Hand-shaped in the same rich, garnet-toned glaze, this is hand-formed in a deep garnet glaze — rounded, generous, and grounding. Its body opens wide at the center before curving softly inward at the rim, balancing fullness with refinement. The surface holds a quiet, wine-red sheen, shifting with the light like polished wood or ripened fruit skin. Though cup-like in form, its scale transforms it into a sculptural object. It can hold flowers, branches, or simply its own stillness within a space. Made slowly and entirely by hand, the piece carries subtle traces of touch, reminders of its singular origin. No copies will be made — this form exists only once. At Gazar, making is not treated as an abstract idea but as something fully lived. The studio’s work grows out of everyday engagement with the objects it creates - pieces are not only formed, but inhabited, observed, and reconsidered through use. This ongoing proximity allows each object to evolve through subtle adjustments and quiet reflection. Clay material serves as both medium and collaborator. Rather than forcing outcomes, the studio allows form to surface gradually, guided by touch, repetition, and attentive presence. In this way, creation becomes a subtle vocabulary - one that speaks softly, favoring depth over display. The resulting body of work feels intimate and grounded, carrying within it the traces of process, time, and a close relationship with the physical world.
