H.A. Kähler Hand-Painted Art Pottery Vase, Denmark, c.1920s–1930s
A beautifully hand-painted earthenware vase by H.A. Kähler, Denmark, dating from the early 20th century. The elegant flared trumpet form is richly decorated with stylized fruit and foliage in deep green, cobalt blue, ochre, and black under a glossy glaze, reflecting Kähler’s celebrated tradition of artistic craftsmanship and Art Nouveau-inspired decoration. Each brushstroke is individually applied, making every example unique. Kähler pottery became internationally renowned for its innovative glazes and hand-decorated ceramics, and original HAK pieces remain highly sought after by collectors today.
Standing 17 cm (6.7 in.) high, this vase is in very good vintage condition with an attractive age-related patina, making it an exceptional decorative object for collectors of Scandinavian art pottery and early Danish design.
