Isak Isaksson Unique vase, late 20th century. Wheel-thrown stoneware vase with tall slender neck and organic brown flowing glaze over raw white body. One-of-a-kind form, signed by the artist. Origin: Sweden, Isak Isaksson. Material: Stoneware. Dimensions: H. 23 cm, D. 17 cm. Period: Late 20th century. Condition: Excellent condition with minimal signs of use. Signed underneath. Isak Isaksson (b. 1949) is one of Sweden’s leading contemporary ceramic artists and a key figure in the Nordic pottery tradition, aiming for works of the highest perfection. From his Stockholm studio, he has mastered wheel-throwing and glaze craftsmanship, resulting in exceptional unique pieces. He is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design, and in 2019 was awarded the title Certified Ceramic Master – the highest distinction in Swedish ceramics.
