A substantial Italian Murano glass vase, dating to the 20th century, distinguished by its elegant classical form and luminous gold-flecked decoration. The vase features a tall, gently flaring trumpet-form body raised on a decorative knopped stem and broad circular foot. The glass is infused throughout with fine shimmering gold inclusions, producing a warm champagne-gold appearance that changes subtly with the surrounding light. The extensive metallic flecking relates to the celebrated Murano tradition of incorporating gold leaf and aventurine-like effects into blown glass, a technique widely employed by Venetian glasshouses throughout the 20th century.
