About the Item

This beautiful Florio Keramia ceramic vase has an abstract pattern and a glossy finish. Original piece, handmade in the 1990s with a vintage feel. The vase is 11 cm long, 35 cm high and 35 cm wide. The green color lends a pop of color to any room, making it a perfect decorative piece for any occasion. The vase is perfect for those who appreciate postmodern style and are looking for a unique addition to their collection. A great choice for flower arrangements or as an independent decorative element. Memphis has been a cultural movement born in Milan around Ettore Sottsass and Sottsass Associati, that has combined young architects, artists and designers in 1980s. Luciano Florio Paccagnella, an important member of the group was inspired by Yantra vases of Sottsass and Bauhaus colours and lines when created his serial of unique, hand-made and hand painted totem vases. Florio Paccagnella studies advertising graphics at the Enal High School of Arts, then at the Academy of Fine Arts at Brera, Milan. In 1974, shortly after graduation he already works for the most well-known advertising agencies and he finishes Fiorucci graphics. Matteo Thun discovers him and introduces him to Ettore Sottsass, leading to his becoming friends and founding a graphic arts company with such prominent young designers a Marco Zanini and Also Cibic.
