About the Item

A mid-20th century ceramic vessel in neutral earth tones, unsigned and attributed to British artist Bernard Rooke. The vessel has a trapezoidal shape decorated with Rooke's hieroglyphic-style markings front and back, and glazed to the inside and sides in deep green-brown earth tones. The piece is in good condition throughout, with a nice hand-crafted feel. Markings slightly darker on one face than the other (see images). Approximate dimensions: Width 14.5cm (at the base) x depth 6.5cm x height 14.5cm.
