About the Item
Hand-blown Murano art glass vase executed in the sommerso (“submerged”) technique, with bold layered colors of ruby red, golden amber, and smoky violet encased in clear crystal. The organic, freeform body opens into asymmetric points and horns, creating a dynamic sculptural presence that reads as both vase and centerpiece bowl.
Thick, high-quality glass and internal color transitions catch and reflect light, producing rich shadows and reflections on polished surfaces such as the Makassar-style table shown in the photos. This piece works beautifully as a centerpiece on a dining table, console, or cocktail table, and pairs naturally with mid-century, Italian modern, and Art Deco furnishings.
