About the Item

Exquisite miniature vase in acid-etched and enameled glass, signed Daum Nancy with the cross of Lorraine. Produced in France during the early 20th century, this finely crafted piece captures the poetic atmosphere of winter landscapes, a recurring motif in Daum’s Art Nouveau glasswork. The frosted amber body transitions from warm golden hues to cooler tones, creating a luminous contrast that enhances the depth of the etched and enameled trees and snowy ground. Despite its small scale, the craftsmanship reveals an exceptional attention to detail and the characteristic sensibility of Daum’s naturalistic designs. A collectible example of Nancy School glass, combining technical mastery with subtle emotion — a miniature landscape encapsulated in light.
