About the Item

The Impero collection is a profound tribute to the glorious history of Murano glassmaking, a series of vases made to honor a timeless tradition. These splendid objects are distinguished by the masterful application of the "submerged" technique. In this intricate decorative process, the master glassmaker skillfully creates multiple overlapping layers of vibrant colors. This is achieved by meticulously dipping a piece of glass into separate crucibles of glass of different colors, one by one. The result is a highly striking color effect in which rich colors seem to be suspended in one another, creating a fascinating sense of depth. To further enhance this luminous quality, round air bubbles are deliberately inserted between the layers. These tiny spheres, perfectly spaced, create a beautiful and intentional pattern, adding another dimension of light and texture to the transparency. The Empire collection is thus a sophisticated blend of time-honored skill and striking visual effects.
