About the Item

Beautiful antique Murano hand blown rich sapphire blue, control bubbles and flower decoration Italian art glass flower vase. It is created in the manner of the Barovier Seguso Ferro, and early Fratelli Toso companies. The body of the vase has a ribbed design, with "Bullicante" or controlled bubble pattern throughout. The blue color is on the base and creeps towards the top like water. The mouth of the vase has an oval shape, and just beneath are 2 gold leaf flowers as decoration. Would make a great display piece on any vanity, coffee table or credenza. Art Deco. Mid-Century era. The base is polished flat, with circular pontil mark in the center. Measures: 8" tall x 6" wide at the base. Company information: Barovier Seguso Ferro. The company was in business for only 4 years (1933-1937), before becoming Seguso Vetri D' Arte.
