About the Item

A stunning contemporary Murano glass vessel featuring vibrant murrine and intricate wheel-carved textures. Handcrafted circa 2017 by master glassmakers Marco and Mattia Salvadore alongside their team at the renowned Studio Salvadore on the island of Murano, Venice. This exceptional vase is composed of a complex mosaic of transparent glass canes and multi-colored murrine, meticulously fused and blown using traditional techniques passed down through the Salvadore family since the 17th century. While Studio Salvadore is globally celebrated for its monumental, museum-scale gallery pieces, this vessel offers a rare opportunity to acquire the exact same level of virtuosity and artistic DNA in a more intimate, accessible scale. The surface has been meticulously refined post-firing using cold-working wheel-carving techniques (battuto and incisione), giving the piece a rich, tactile dimension that beautifully catches the light. An entirely unique, one-of-a-kind contemporary masterpiece that embodies centuries of Venetian heritage, making it a perfect addition for both seasoned glass collectors and sophisticated interiors.
