About the Item

A good vase by Isgard Moje-Wohlgemuth and Klaus Moje from 1978, when the two were still a couple, living and working in Hamburg. The blank painted with dissolved metal compounds in yellow, violet, copper and silver grey before being placed into the annealer to become a work of art initially recognizable as that of the Mojes. The vessel is signed and dated "Moje 1978". For more information on the two artists, whose ways separated in 1980 into two impressive solo careers cf.: Dan Klein, "Artists in Glass - Late twentieth Century Masters in Glass", Beazley, London, 2001
