About the Item

An exquisite and most elegant pair of French 19th century Louis XV st. Sévres Porcelain and Ormolu vases. Each wonderfully decorative Jardiniere, signed Sévres, is raised by a richly decorated circular Ormolu base supported on four rectangular block feet and decorated by diamond shaped rosettes. The supports are flanked by scrolled sides with large acanthus leaves below a richly chased berried laurel band. The laurel band surrounds the colorful baluster shaped Sévres Porcelain urns showcasing six decorative floral panels with a white background. Each panel displays hanging floral branches tied at the top by a pink bow. Each decorative panel is framed within a blue and gilt accented vertical band with a pink ribbon spiraling around. The same elegant decoration is also applied at the bottom of the urn. Pink and Gilt dotted bands also decorate the mid section and the top of the urns before leading to the flared and Gilt accented rims.
