About the Item

The Skyscraper Series blown glass vessels feature vibrant colors layered atop a mirrored interior that is meant to mimic the various steel and glass structures they are inspired by. The NYC and FIDI bottles are finished off with a stopper that replicates the actual spire atop these structures and is left transparent as a reminder that these works are indeed handblown glass vessels. Handmade in Brooklyn, NY by William Couig, 2017. Dimensions (Left to Right): Sm. Silver cylinder: 10" x 3.5" x 3.5". Lg. Blue cylinder: 12" x 5" x 5". Lg. Blue cylinder: 13" x 5" x 5". FIDI bottle: 17" x 6" x 6". NYC bottle: 17" x 5" x 5". Sm. silver cylinder: 11" x 3.5" x 3.5". Note: These are strictly design objects and exposing the interiors to any liquids should be strictly avoided as it will adversely affect the mirroring.

Each piece is signed by the artist, ensuring authenticity and uniqueness, and the set is in perfect condition, preserved without any flaws or wear, making it a true treasure for lovers of fine glasswork. Handcrafted using traditional glass-blowing techniques, the pieces feature organic lines and subtle shades, signature elements of Morin’s style, which emphasized simple yet profoundly expressive forms.
