About the Item

A large and very well crafted Pottery Vessel attributed to the iconic American Ceramicist Robert Turner (1913-2005). This massive vessel certainly embodies the artist’s esthetic of timeless, rhythmic and elemental form. Marked, “Turner 1967” on the base. A monumental and very sculptural form reminiscent of the ancient pottery vessels that had captivated the artist for decades. The top glazed in a drip of pale green and teal blue, the middle and base in a blotchy white glaze on the raw red clay. Dimensions: H. 22" D. 11” , top Diam. 7" Condition: Please see detail photos. Overall fine condition with only expected and enhancing inclusions, glaze drips etc. with some slight roughness to the top edge also from manufacture with the presentation being elemental and exceptional.
