About the Item

Mid-Century Modern vintage metal ceramic standing ashtray, which was designed by Michel Buffet attributed, 1950s, France. This ashtray captivates through its minimalistic language of form and its elegance. The polychrome ceramic trays balance on the black metal frame, which shows at the bottom a significant V-shape. The tray is marked underneath with No. 755. The condition is very good with minor signs of age and use. Approximate measures: Width 33 cm Depth 32 cm Height 64 cm Michel Buffet birth 1931 in France is a famed Industrial designer, who worked more than 3 decades with Raymond Loewy. He created many popular Industrial designs, like gas stations or the interior for Concorde airplanes. Decorative pieces designed by Michel Buffet are very rare and hard to find.
