About the Item

Very impressive chunky Murano glass ashtray from the 1960s to 1970s by Cenedese, Italy. The greenish shimmering yellow appears almost like uranium glass and envelops the deep blue inner. Here a beautiful piece of the artists Sommerso technique, attributed to the hands of Antonio Da Ros. This fantastic artist is well known for his modernist approach, melting 2 colours into one piece. The three cigarette ''beds'' cut nicely in this minimalistic ashtray, giving the piece a futuristic look. One-of-a-kind piece.
