About the Item

A rare and large glazed ceramic whiskey dispenser with strong form and color. Mark on the base dates to 1882-1891. Urquart owner's inscription also impressed on the base. A large scale ceramic dispenser in a mottled brown glaze with blue glazed foot, neck and label. Green and tan glazed Scottish thistles frame the raised label. The top with a glazed ceramic topped cork and a glazed spigot cork stopper. The dispenser is being sold as a decorative item and the corks do not fit. Dimensions: : Height 23", base diameter 7", body diameter 11”. Condition: Please see detail photos. There are a couple of slight stabile cracks to the foliage and acorn decoration and a slight chip to the top rim, the top cork does not fit snuggly, spigot cork with losses and age shrinkage and does not fit tightly into the bottom spigot hole. The aforementioned is for accuracy as the Doulton piece presents very well.
