German silver cow creamer, ca 1920. A shaggy, stocky beast on spindly legs and big hooves. Upturned horns, flexed ears, and smiley mouth spout. Hinged and garlanded cover with stylized fly finial and flicked-back tail forming ring handle. German marks including 800-fineness stamp, and Hanau maker’s (JD Schleissner & Söhne) and Rome retailer’s (Kremos) stamps. Weight: 4.6 troy ounces.
