About the Item

A rare and quite wonderful find, and fun too. Victorian in era and dating to circa 1880, this travelling trolley or cart is made to travel down the centre of a large grand dining table. The silver plated cart is pulled by it's handle and accommodates all four of the original handblown crystal decanters with polished pontil marks on their underside, a true sign of the age of the decanters and showing they were hand made. Each is trimmed with a silver plated rim. The cart is marked by the top-notch silversmith, Mappin Brothers of Sheffield. Measures: Excellent condition measuring 16" x 9" x 11" tall. Item ID: 39954.
