About the Item

A large sculptural salad bowl crafted from solid teak, designed by Flemming Digsmed and produced by the Danish manufacturer Digsmed in the 1960s. An impressive piece turned from laminated wood, both sculptural and minimalistic. Perfect for serving fruit, salad or snacks, or used as an eye-catching decorative object. The original Digsmed sticker is still attached underneath the bowl. Digsmed Design was a Danish company active during the 1960s and 1970s, best known for its beautifully crafted teak kitchenware and serving pieces. Their designs—often featuring lazy Susans, spice racks, and cutting boards—combine Scandinavian modern aesthetics with functional elegance. Today, Digsmed items are sought after for their warm wood tones, organic forms, and timeless mid-century appeal.
