A spectacular large Murano art glass centrepiece bowl by Fornace Ferro, featuring a sophisticated combination of opalescent ivory glass, turquoise-blue veining and luminous iridescence. Measuring an impressive 18 inches in diameter, this substantial hand-blown bowl has considerable presence and would make an exceptional focal point on a dining table, console, sideboard or display cabinet. The bowl is formed from a beautiful pearly ivory ground, through which sweeping turquoise and blue trails spiral across the surface. The coloured veining has an attractive iridescent quality, shifting subtly according to the light and creating a wonderful sense of movement. The combination of the soft ivory background and vivid blue-turquoise decoration gives the piece a distinctly Venetian character, balancing contemporary elegance with the unmistakable visual language of traditional Murano glassmaking. The broad, shallow form allows the intricate patterning to be appreciated from above, making it particularly effective as a centrepiece or decorative platter.
