Italian Murano glass centerpiece presentation bowl crafted during the nineteen nineties showcases refined Venetian Neoclassical revival design by Mastri Vetrai. Handcrafted in Italy, this low, architectural vessel rises from a circular, spreading pedestal foot of rich amber-gold glass into an expansive, squat globular body with rounded shoulders. The form sweeps upward to a short, constricted neck before opening into a dramatically broad, flattened horizontal rim that frames the wide central aperture. Master artisans mouth-blew and shaped the vessel freehand at the furnace (a mano volante), executing the body in heavy Venetian crystal (cristallo) densely embedded with delicate lace-like murrine canes and snowflake-patterned millefiori elements. This intricate web of opaque white rosettes is layered throughout the molten matrix and richly infused with twenty-four-karat gold leaf inclusions (foglia d'oro / polvere d'oro), which radiate across the bulbous body and concentrate in an amber-gilded glow around the turned base and rolled outer brim.
