About the Item

One of a kind floor vase crafted in the typical style of Safi pottery, dating from around the 19th century. This piece is made of white glazed ceramic with geometric decorations in shades of blue, filigree appliqués, and leather patches. The leather patches are set within the filigree, feature ink drawings, and have small medallions with semiprecious stones in the center. The decorative program is typically Moroccan, with geometric and floral elements associated with the ceramic tradition of the coastal city of Safi. On either side of the vase's neck are two handles, one of which hangs a leather tassel. The base retains its white enamel finish and features some filigree details. Below it is the artisan's signature in Arabic. Shipping costs will be paid by the buyer and will depend on the dimensions, weight, and destination. We will contact you to arrange shipping and provide a quote. Shipping costs include professional, custom-made packaging and personalized delivery with tracking and warranty. The buyer is responsible for paying any import duties and associated taxes in the destination country.
