About the Item

Excellent art ceramic figurine from the 1930s: Young lady with bob hairstyle standing upright, torso turned to the left and supporting both arms on the hips, in a short blue kimono with a floral pattern and high heels. Behind her between the legs is seated a harlequin doll in a checked suit, with a pointed hat and basin. On a cream-coloured, octagonal, slightly domed base, artist's signature 'Dakon' on top, behind the figure. Designed by STEPHAN DAKON (1904 - 1992), one of the most important designers who worked for the Goldscheider manufactory from 1924 until the mid-fifties.
