About the Item

A very beautiful "owl" vase with a beak by Jacques Blin, made of green and white glazed ceramic and decorated. Signed J Blin under the base. Model created around 1950. In perfect condition, no chips, cracks, or repairs. Jacques Blin was a French sculptor born in 1920 and died in 1995, renowned for his original work in ceramics. Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he developed a personal style early on, characterized by clean lines and meticulously engraved decoration. His work is distinguished by the use of symbolic, animal, and plant motifs, often inspired by nature and myths. Thanks to his great technical mastery, Jacques Blin created pieces that were both poetic and expressive, where texture and material played a central role. Jean Derval, Ruelland, Roger Capron, Vallauris, Jacques Pouchain, antique.
