Rare large oblong ceramic in red enameled earthenware by Pol Chambost, France circa 1950's. An exceptional and highly collectible example featuring one of Chambost's most sought-after glazes : a deep luminous red of remarkable intensity. The elongated form enhances the vibrancy of the colour, allowing the glaze to unfold with subtle tonal varations and striking depth. The red is rich, balanced and powerful. Exactly what serious collectors look for. Red Chambost pieces of this quality are becoming increasingly difficult to source.
