About the Item

A striking and rare set of three French ceramic pieces featuring marine motifs, designed by Guy Trévoux for the renowned Henriot Quimper manufacture in Brittany (France). This ensemble includes two larger pieces (22.5 x 12 cm and 23 x 10 cm) signed by the artist and one smaller (14.5 x 9.5 cm) bowl from the same Henriot Quimper production, all decorated with vivid hand-painted shell and crustacean motifs on a deep black ground — a signature aesthetic developed by Trévoux during his collaboration with the factory in the early 1950s. The organic forms and vibrant marine imagery reflect the artistic renewal of Henriot Quimper faience in the mid-20th century, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern decorative sensibilities. A highly decorative and collectible group, ideal for display or refined table use.
