About the Item

This decorative antique wall object was sculpted in central France, circa 1890. The ceramic bagpipe with large bow in high relief at the top, features hand painted figures singing and dancing in traditional, local outfits. The faience piece could be used as a dry flowers vase on a kitchen wall, or place on a shelf. The bagpipe is in excellent condition with rich colors and is signed "Mont doré Auvergne" on the back. Measures: 9.5" W x 15.75" H.
