A vintage Bordallo Pinheiro Vine and Basket Weave plate, Portugal, circa early 1980s. The Portuguese Bordallo Pinheiro ceramic factory was founded in 1884 by the artist Rafael Bordallo Pinheiro in Caldas da Rainha. The brand is iconic for its nature inspired ceramics, particularly their majolica glazed cabbage leaf tableware. An iconic mold showing overlapping and vining grape leaves with a basket-weave border, glazed in a beautiful green. 8 inches in diameter x 1 inch H. Showing the expected light wear often seen to the high points on this pottery.
