About the Item

A fine set of 12 Steuben crystal or glass plates. Designed by Sidney Waugh. With wheel engraved depictions of Audubon's birds. From a series of 21 birds after Audubon's prints. The plates display a wide variety of birds from waterfowl to raptors. There are 11 unique plates and one duplicate. Simply a stunning set of Steuben crystal plates! Date: Mid-20th century Overall condition: They are in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no cracks or repairs. Condition details: All of the plates have light surface scratches throughout (in most cases to the reverse) to varying degrees, and one of the plates has a small fleabite chip in the etched decoration. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Steuben Pattern: Audubon Marks: Marked S or Steuben to the reverse of each plate. Measurements: Diameter: ca. 10 in. Height: ca. 3/4 in. Items purchased from this dealer must delight you.
