About the Item

Beautiful vintage well sized Murano hand blown glass bowl. The bowl is fashioned using the famous Sommerso technique, creating clear bubbles in champagne or caramel colour with gold flecks. This is most likely the work of the famous Venini glass foundry. This technique has been published in various Venini books. Created in the "a Bollicine" technique, with thousands of little bubbles that create a lot of depth. It is profusely covered in gold leaf throughout. An example of this technique can be found in 'Venini Glass, its history, artists and techniques by Franco Deboni.
