About the Item

Classic Baccarat cameo crystal vase 7 inches tall vase - the vase has been hand carved in the workshops of Edouard Enot c1900. Enot had a Paris workshop where he had his people work glass blanks - in this case mounting it on a bronze base and wheel carving a green cameo iris (Wheel carving cameo is probably the hardest technique to achieve -this wheel cut vase would have been weeks of work for one cutter and many examples would fail). The Vase is signed in the Bronze base and in the glass -on the base -see pictures This exact vase was featured in the UK version of Antiques Roadshow (Episode Cardiff 3 -2023) where is was shown in a game of Basic-Better-Best and was valued at the time at between £2,000 and £3,000. Baccarat is and has been the creator of the finest crystal for hundreds of years. E Enot was one of the finest retailer in Paris around 1900
