About the Item

A delightful vintage French majolica cockatoo-form pitcher by St. Clement, modeled as an elegant crested cockatoo perched atop a naturalistic base. Richly hand-glazed in soft shades of green, pale yellow, coral pink, and sky blue, the sculptural form highlights the bird’s expressive features and finely textured plumage. The gracefully curved handle is integrated into the bird’s body, while the spout emerges naturally from the tail, creating a beautifully balanced figural design. Produced by the renowned French pottery St. Clement, this whimsical pitcher reflects the factory’s celebrated tradition of animal-form majolica. Whether displayed as a decorative accent in a kitchen, dining room, or cabinet of ceramics, or incorporated into a collection of French majolica, it offers exceptional charm and craftsmanship. Marked St. Clement on the underside. Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Minor glaze variations and light surface wear consistent with age. Please refer to the photographs for details.
