About the Item

An exceptionally refined and elegant early 20th-century antique Bohemian crystal dessert or compote service set. This beautifully curated assembly features a large, dramatic central serving bowl with a flared conical silhouette, heavily decorated with a wide, continuous frieze of etched and gilded wildflowers, ferns, and dense foliage, supported by clean, vertical gold pinstripe panels. Accompanying the master bowl is a matching set of smaller individual dessert bowls and their coordinating underplates/saucers, each mirroring the same brilliant level of craftsmanship. The borders of the smaller dishes are embellished with an intricate, heavily textured gold leaf band displaying delicate classical scrollwork and a geometric Greek key or beaded rim accent. Crafted from remarkably clear, resonant crystal, this multi-piece service represents the height of Central European luxury tableware from the turn of the century, bringing an air of Belle Époque opulence to any dining presentation. Sizing: Bowl 22/15cm, paltes 16cm diamiter and small bowls 12/4.5cm Set contains large bowl, 6 small bowls and 5 plates.
