Johnson Bros. Very large Serving Platter, early-20th century. Rectangular platter with rounded corners in earthenware. Decorated with a central multicoloured transfer print of fruit and flowers, framed by a brown ornamental border along the rim. Origin: England, Staffordshire. Maker: Johnson Bros., Windsor Ware. Material: Earthenware. Dimensions: 40 x 51 x 4 cm. Period: Early 20th century. Condition: Good condition, minor signs of use. Johnson Bros. was a renowned English pottery manufacturer in Staffordshire, widely known for producing both decorative and practical tableware for the export market. The Windsor Ware series included a variety of classic patterns, often featuring romantic floral or fruit motifs, and became especially popular in the mid-20th century. Today, these platters are sought after by collectors both for their decorative appeal and as fine examples of English earthenware production.
