Delicate Meissen Art Nouveau porcelain group: A couple skating in elegant winter attire: the lady in a suit with a long skirt and jacket in white with stylised floral decoration in blue and yellow with fur trims, with a matching cap on her pinned-up hair, in front, between the couple, a fur bag on a gold chain slung over her head, the gentleman in sporty brown checked three-quarter length trousers with red and blue patterned stockings, a white jumper and white cap, both wearing fine leather gloves, gliding across the ice in a dance pose. On a flat, irregular ice base. Excellent design with delicate decoration. Designer: ALFRED KÖNIG (1871 - 1940) studied at the art academy in Dresden, since 1897 he worked in the Meissen manufactory as a designer and modeler. The artist specialized in the design of human figures in various variations, such as genre figures, children, athletes, soldiers etc. Model Z 195 was created and made circa 1910.
