Excellent lifelike depiction of an exotic bird sitting on a sturdy tree trunk, eating with the help of its claw, below crawling insects: Cockchafer, caterpillar and snail, and leaf tendrils with flowers. Detailed execution of the scenery in bold colours. Designer: JOHANN JOACHIM KAENDLER (1706 - 1775) chief sculptor at the Meissen manufactory from 1742 to 1775.
