About the Item

A gorgeous 19th century water, or olive oil, jug, glazed, inside and out in warm rustic tones of brown and green. Full of character, this unusual storage vessel features a short and shaped spout and three substantial upper handles around its rim to facilitate easy pouring. Its glazed surface is scuffed and chipped in places, which only adds to its charm, and shows proof of its centuries' old important, if utilitarian, role as a storage vessel in a Provençal kitchen.
