About the Item

Three Fruit Holders or Candy Holders In Blue, Gold and Polychrome Hand-painted Porcelain, Meissen mid-19th century, in good state of preservation. This set of three risers is hand-painted with flowers, gold foliage and racemes on a blue and white background. The cup is decorated in polychrome, divided into reserves with figures in eighteenth-century dress, gallant scenes, and highly detailed landscapes that alternate with blue-painted portions, all framed by a edge polylobed and scalloped, decorated with floral motifs in gold on white. It rests on a circular foot that repeats the same polychrome decoration in blue and gold with polychrome painted flowers and miniatures with figures and landscapes. The bowl, the plate of each riser, used to hold fruit or sweets, is supported by a pedestal, attached to the foot by a 'core threaded brass. This set of three risers compote fruit stands or German porcelain candy dish, bears on the bottom the blue Meissen manufacture mark with the two crossed swords. They come from a private collection, it is rare to find a set of three antique risers, and they are in good condition, free of breaks or restoration, with signs of wear, color consunzioni compatible with 19th century dating.
