This antique sterling silver toast rack has six compartments divided by a wirework frame; each divider pivots from the lower portion, allowing for variable spacing. The frame incorporates a central carrying handle, reflecting the same exposed rivet design as that the the dividers. This exceptional sterling silver articulated toast rack is supported with four bun style feet. The underside of the rack bears the retailer's mark 'Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd, 112 Regent St W'. This antique Arts and Crafts style toast rack was designed by Christopher Dresser* and crafted by the silversmiths Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd; this designer and maker are renowned, and known for producing fine work. This exceptional toast rack is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire.
