About the Item

An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique George V English cast sterling silver card/menu holders; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection. These exceptional antique silver menu holders, in sterling standard, have each been realistically modelled in the form of a fox standing on a grass terrain. Each cast silver figure is embellished with details reproducing the fox's anatomical features and fur. These exceptional examples of antique silver are fitted with plain arched supports to the posterior surfaces. Each cast model surmounds a plain hallmarked wirework style arched base. Condition: These antique sterling silver fox menu holders are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. The cast decoration is all very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each base are all very clear. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of antique silverware.
