About the Item

An exceptional c1900 sterling overlay hip flask attributed to Gorham. The quality of the engraving is on par with their output of the period. Marked "STERLING" on the neck of the flask along with "SOLID SILVER PAT. JAN. 5-8_." I suspect the 1880s patent is for the hinged closure of the flask.
