About the Item

A substantial pair of well-made English silver plate florist or 'rose' scissors shears, by Sheffield, England, circa late-19th century. A beautiful pair of (intended) rose shears; they're made to hold the stem in their grip after cutting with a hinged action. There is a bend in the shaft, between the finger holes and the cutter, for easy work between tight branches. They may be used as grape/fruit shears as well, and equally perfect for working/cutting the garden or for interior floral arranging. Beautiful decorative detail as shown. English hallmarks as shown in last two images. Excellent condition as shown in images and video with beautiful silver-plate presence. Item would also made a nice gift. Dimensions: 6.63" Long.
