About the Item

Silver German nicest pair of chandeliers Transition period / Empire (made circa 1880-1900). Silver 800 branded by German Crescent with Crown. Silver weight: 1479 grams / 3257 Lb Referring firm was founded in year 1829 in Berlin when a shop for selling precious items made of silver and gold was established. The silver manufactory was very successful in second half of 19th century having had their company domicile at the address 'Unter den Linden 28 in Berlin' / the company has even become Jeweler of German Imperial Court in Berlin. - The Friedlander firm was sold in year 1938 to Kurt Hermann - a very close associate of Hermann Goering who had been Hitler's Reich Marshal - since the Friedlander family had Jewish confession: For this reason they had to move to London in order to escape targeted killing. Condition: Excellent (there aren't any damages / any imperfections existing).
